Characteristics of Novolak Epoxy Resin
Novolac epoxy resin is a multifunctional epoxy resin. Under the action of the curing agent, its crosslinking density is more significant than that of bisphenol A epoxy resin, so it has higher heat resistance than the bisphenol A type. It can be mixed with bisphenol A epoxy resin to improve the heat resistance of bisphenol A epoxy resin. It can also be used alone as an epoxy resin in coatings, castables, and laminated products with good heat resistance.
Novolac epoxy resin has the characteristics of heat resistance and corrosion resistance of phenolic resin and high bonding strength, excellent mechanical and physical properties, and good electrical properties of epoxy resin. It can be cured using a standard epoxy resin curing agent, which is highly convenient.
